Ravensbruck concentration camp is surprisingly situated in a lovely location beside the Schwedtsee lake, not far from Furstenberg/Havel.
Most of the camp has been levelled and the accommodation blocks are marked out by depressions in a very large gravelled area. There are still some derelict camp buildings outside the area open to the public, and the cell block building is...
