My husband and I took the 20 minute ($15) ferry from St. Martin to Anguilla for the day and we were so glad we did. A taxi from the ferry to shoal bay was $26 and we got a little "tour" on the way. Shoal Beach has gorgeous calm waters, palm trees...it's so perfect. While some mentioned snorkeling, I didn't... more

It's exactly how you'll feel when you'll get to Shoal Bay! This place is incredible, it's so beautiful and calm. There's just enough restaurants and bars on the beach so the place is quiet and feels very authentic. The water is turquoise and it's easy to swim in it, even for kids. I ate lobster on the beach and would... more

This is by far the best snorkle beach we have ever been to. Calm water, plenty of coral right off the beach, absoultely amazing. We have snorkled in many spots in both the Carribean and HI and this is by far the best! more

Shoal Beach was one of the highlights of our trip.Like the reviewer from Cardiff we took the boat from St Martaan. As a party of 5 though this was US$30 x 5 for a day trip. The taxi cost approx US$50 there and back.So US$200 for starters ! Still the beach was magnificent but little in the way of facilities. This is to... more

We only had a day trip to Shoal Bay so we can't comment on accomodation. We took the ferry from St Martin (Marigot) to Anguilla. Cost was $30 per person. We then took a taxi directly to Shoal Bay ($16 return) as we wanted to snorkel and I had read this was the best off beach snorkleling on the Island.... more
