Must climb for great views of the island. The rock formation is great, although it's a bit tough to navigate when there is a large crowd. Visit the small Garden beside the rocks, lots of cacti & native trees. More

When me and my wife head towards our Arubian friends near De Hooiberg (area of Santa Cruz), we always take a short stop at the Ayo rock formation. Then we enjoy this very special place, peaceful and quiet (not many tourists). It's an almost surrealistic world of rocks and cactus. When the sun shines, you can see all those huge... More

Our tour in 2003 had not covered these rock formations. So this was a new experience. Unfortunately it rained just as we arrived making climbing rocks a little slippery. More

We had a short lovely ride to the middle of the island where this strange rocks purtrude outside the normality of the place....among the rocks what is most interesting are the various types of herbs, tropical and rare trees which surround the rocks. Also at great place for birdwatching. It is said to be a sacred place for the old... More

When tectonic plates collided eons ago, the huge boulders we saw were strrewn about like so many marbles. Such power! The huge rocks plus the lovely cactus covered landscape are worth seeing! More

We went here on a tour. We went directly to the largest rock formations and found that there was a line. There is only one staircase. So, we waited while those from the prior bus came down before we could go up. There is one area that can be a little tricky. Stepping from rock to rock and bending to... More

This is such a unique place -- my husband & I were pleasantly surprised! There are paths to walk around and see all the cacti and huge boulders. Steps take you up the largest boulders for a great view of the island, and a nice cool breeze. We stayed longer than I would have expected (maybe 30 - 40 minutes)... More

It was a nice sunny day. There are stair's to climb up to the top of the rocks but they are tricky so you need to be steady on your feet. Also there is a tight spot where you have to bend down to go under and thru the rocks. Some might be unable or uncomfortable with this. It is... More
