Some history as to the culture and way of life. Artifacts are on display and demonstrations with music boxes and dance. More

This is a clean and pleasant little museum that details the history of Aruba using mostly photos with extended labels. It is easy to find as the entry way is a 4 or 5 story tower on which a large clock is mounted. Unfortunately I did not find out about this museum from Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas tour... Have been going to Aruba for 23 years and visited the fort during every visit. So disappointed now that the original MC is gone. The sense of tradition is gone. Even my young adult children were very disappointed for the same reason. We don't go to Aruba to have a Hip Hop MC. We all missed thesenior dancers and the... More

Fort Zoutman gives you the feel of the pride and history of this grand island. The celebration on Tuesday night blends history, excitement, and local entertainment. Local food and festivities takes you away from the beach for a while, but gives you the full "taste" of the island. More

We came to Fort Zoutman for the weekly Bon Bini (meaning welcome in the local language of Papiamento) festival, the fort was interesting, originally built to defend Aruba from pirates. Admission was only $3/person and there were food and drinks available for purchase for a reasonable price. The performance portion included local musical entertainment and dancers, which was very interesting.... More

This was our second year in Aruba, so we wanted to try something different, bon bini was $3.00 each to get in and had folding chairs to sit on (get there early to get seat) The food was very good and prepared and served by the locals for about $5.00, chicken & rice shrimp & local goodies. The show was... More
