“Too much seaweed”

We had heard this was the best snorkling beach and perhaps it is. However, we did not stay after we walked down and saw it dirty and covered in old seaweed. We actual saw the most fish (but nothing compared to Hawaii) at Elbow beach. Pretty fish that would let you get close. And, the beach is much nicer. more

I just returned from Bermuda and I love snorkeling. Naturally every snorkeling question I asked led me to Church Beach from mulitiple sources. The access was easy from the #7 bus... a path down the hill and about fifty wooden steps brought you to the beach. It is a beautiful white/pink beach with wonderful clarity to the water that runs... more

Stunning beach! Unfortunately, we decided to head to Church Bay to snorkel, only to come across over 50 Portuguese Man O'War (small, but they carry a nasty sting!) washed up on the beach. Needless to say, we didn't go snorkeling! Check with the locals to find out when NOT to go in the water there. We stayed on the beach... more

Just got back from 13 nights in Bermuda. Loved every day of it. We checked out Church Bay Beach after reading about it in a guide book. The beach is not very big and you won't find a private spot during the beach season. You do get a nice view from the roadway and parking up above the beach, if... more
