The drive was a bit far from the St Lawrence Gap, but the views were worth it. The ocean was very rough the day we went due to off-island storms, the water was crashing in a dramatic way into the caves. Very few animal flowers exist, so just be prepared to not see a lot. The ruggedness is wonderful. The... more

We had a very entertaining tour guide and had a great time climbing around and taking pictures. You have to be fairly agile to really see all the great views of the northern coast out of the cave openings. The footing can be slippery, but the guide was very helpful ("jj"). We spent over an hour in the cave and... more

this is a bit off the radar it's prob an hour at best to look around and have a cup of tea at the little cafe. not as disneyfied as harrison caves thank god , need transport wouldn't bother to pay out for a cab but if you have a car for the day well worth a look on your... more

This North Point spot almost cannot be beat on the island for scenery. You can get excellent vistas on all sides of North Point and even underfoot, where waves have eroded the coral to create hollowed out vantage points to the sea below. Walking around to the various vistas can take 30 minutes to an hour easily. The cave can... more

This cave is well worth a visit if only to see the fantasic view from the mouth of the cave. The rock formations are incredible inside the cave and the guides are superb. Lovely little cafe to sit and have lunch/rum punches and stunning scenery. Well worth the small amount of money charged for admission and highly recommended more

This was our second trip to Barbados and we decided to travel to the North and East coasts for a day. As part of our excursion, we went to the Animal Flower Cave. I would not recommend going into the cave as it is nothing special especially considering the price. The view from above ground was much better and free! more

the animal Flower cave is probably the most northerly point in Barbados, so yes it is a long way for the majority of tourists based on the south coast, but hey well worth the drive why not drive along the west coast on the way up and east coast on the way back and see the differnces between the two... more

I really enjoyed the Animal Flower Cave. At first, the price seems to be much to walk down into a cave but once there it was worth every penny. The tour guide was excellent and swimming around was the best part. more

Yes, the cave name is misleading and the guides are mainly interested in selling their wares. The cave itself is quite interesting, as long as you don't expect to see "Animal Flowers." There are about six windows to the ocean from inside the cave and several clear pools, which make for a nice swim -- and the guides don't seem... more

The cave is situated at the far northern end of the island, and although a long drive from the southern resorts, is not too difficult to find with plenty of roadsigns. The guides are quite knowledgeable, but are essentially interested in selling you some of their merchandise after the short tour. On the day we visited, not all of the... more
