The Aquaspace was designed and built by Jacques Rougerie, co-worker of world-known marine biologist Jacques Cousteau. After having served as a center of marine biology studies, it now offers great sailing charter in the waters around diver's paradise Bonaire. This great sailing ship offers a fully air-conditioned underwater observation deck, consisting of 90 percent glass giving a panorama view of the underwater wonders. Also a sun deck and plenty of shade. Lavatories available. The highlight of our trip to Bonaire, and probably our trip to the Caribbean. I picked the ship because it had a glass bottom hull, which gave us the option of staying on the boat if one of us didn't want to snorkel. Took this excursion while in port on a cruise in November '08. We arranged it privately - not available directly from Princess Cruises, at least (shame). Can't say enough about it. Organizer Marcel and the boat's skipper made the 3-hour "cruise" a delight. They know the reefs to go to and where to snorkel. If you don't want to jump... more
