The Plaza is vast, with an enormous statue of Jose Marti in the middle, and a number of anonymous-looking government buildings around the edge, seemingly miles away. When we were there, only a couple of dozen people were present, virtually all of them tourists, so there was absolutely no atmosphere - maybe it's different when there's a parade on! More
