Had a disappointing evening, as it was a long wait till the jazz band came on. Strangely the music was flat, and many left early. To be fair, it might be different on a different night with a different band. One good thing was there were many locals in the audience More

Keep a million miles away from this place, we visited as we were staying at the cohiba opposite. Very cheap drinks I admit but quite easily the worst food I have ever been served one taste and we walked straight out, the benefit being we were over changed so ended up leaving no worse off!! Go to the Havana cafe... More

The jazz was quality, the cocktails small but then half the normal price, had filet steak for 8 cuban pesos - unbelievably good value. Didn't stay for the dancing after but atmosphere was buzzing. Staff very friendly even though don't speak English very much. The Manager did and was very helpful with the Spanish menu. There were 17 of us... More

The Jazz Cafe Havana in the Galerias del Paseo shopping mall across the street from the Hotel Riviera and the La Zorra y el Cuervo on La Rampa. The mall is closed, and you feel like your taxi left you in the middle of darkness, but enter and it is on the second floor. We listened Oscar Valdes and his... More

My parents and I visited the Jazz Cafe on our recent trip to Cuba (August 2010), and really enjoyed it. The location perhaps isn't the best (a bit in the middle of nowhere), but we got a taxi there and easily got one from outside when we left, so it was a non-issue. My dad did get approached by a... The entrance to this bar is through what seems to be an empty shopping mall, which is a bit strange to say the least. There is a $10 CUC minimum spend per person which I thought was no problem. A few hours later, after having 5 Mojitos & a huge pasta dish while my wife had a pasta dish as... More

In front on the melia Cohiba Hotel on the Malecon. The mall is closed, and you feel like your taxi left you in the middle of nowhere, but enter and on the second floor, there is a jazz club. Cuban girls often stand there to wait for the tourist... No comment... Mostly tourists get there, the place has no charm... More
