The Punda side of Willemstad is where most of the famous colorful buildings along the harbor are located. There are cafes in front of the buildings. The whole street is about 400 feet long. The next street over has tourist shops and a few nice buildings. Each block further east gets more and more run down. It looks like they... More

Historic Willemstad is one of the nicest cities that exist. When I saw it, I fell in love with it at once. More

The food court serves up much food for little money. Many cooks and lots to choose from there, picnic table style. More

We have been to about half of the Caribbean islands, and Willemstad is by far the nicest capital city. The architecture is lovely, and the shopping is good. My favorite thing about Curacao is the great people you meet. It is indeed "real" and "different", just as advertised. Lots for tourists to do , but also a place with lots... More

Punda...and its mirror town..Otrabanda (the other side) are like little Holland. Cruise ship city ! Now ...the fort and the area in Otrabanda around the Renissance hotel were interesting with a lot of nice restaurants & shops. Interesting for a stroll around and some shopping but I'm more into getting away from all that so I wasn't that impressed. More

Once you have seen the main street "rainbow row" of buildings, the back streets have small shops. Our recommendation is that you carry a calculator if using American Dollars. More

The old Dutch buildings are a real selling point for Curacao. They are beautiful. The little shops behind them are quaint and reasonable. I really liked the floating fruit market and the round market building a little further down from the floating market. Using my "so-so" Spanish, I purchased the best cigars I have ever had. A fun time. More

Beautiful buildings and water front. Tons of shopping. Lots of restaurants and street vendors. Crowded, narrow streets, sort of a tourist trap. More

I think this one is more of a tourist trap; the high end shops are not really high end, and the prices are higher than most places on the island. However, there are many good spots to check out. More

It's fun to walk around for about 1 hour. But that's all there is. It seems this place is made just for tourists. We had the free guides and tried to do the photo walking tour. But we just didn't know what we were looking at. It's very easy to move around the town as the map is very clear.... More
