My family arived late in the afternoon (about 4:15pm) so we only had time for a quick look around, they closed at 4:30 pm, the chuch is beautiful and so full of History! There are many things too look at and I am interested in reading more about the history behind it soon.
Very nice place, located in Parque Colon.

Very beautiful on the inside... the ceilings are amazing!! Not your average church. They still have service on Sundays at 11AM.

The looks and art pieces carved in stone is amazing. Be aware of the clothes your wear since is a sacred place.

We were around the service hour on Sunday so we decided to stay. The first cathedral in Americas is full of history. The walls explain the history that took place years ago. It is amazing to be able to see it. However I must say it needs big renovations but a must see in Santo Domingo.

The grounds and architecture is amazing. The site strongly suggest that the colonizing country placed an emphasis on religious training.
