After having read in guide books about the wonderful attractions of Boca Chica, I was sorely disappointed in the run-down and depressing area that it actually is. Good only for loud parties and easy access to ladies of the night. The only saving grace was a couple of really good restaurants. More

Right off the main strip there are several shacks with ladies frying fish that you selected on the spot..If you like fry fish look no further..this is a must. The beach is steps away and is a favourite hang out sopt for the locals. More

Wow, I went to Boca Chica the day of my birthday ( March 20, 2012) the beach was very clean and people were nice they had a litte band playing music for me the whole day they also sang happy birthday to me. Wow this was fantastic. More

Boca Chica is the closest beach to Santo Domingo. A taxi to Boca Chica and back costs USD 70 - ant the money is badly spent. The sand beach is narrow, ant the water is shallow. I was expecting much more from this small beach town. I personally don't mind the heavy night life or prostitutes on the streets, I could live with it. The only thing that I didn't appreciate are the scumbags and hustler roaming the streets or positioned in every corner and junction. Man, they are a nightmare. They will not mug you... More
