Good place for the single man but be careful. Boca Chica is full of poor people...money is the name of the game. I saw American men in their 60's, 70's and older with beautiful women/girls in their 20's and younger (98% of the girls are black). If you want to sit down and relax outside your hotel area forget it.... more

I just returned from Boca Chica and stayed at the Oasis Hamaca. When my husband and I caught a cab to our resort, the cab drive took us to the wrong resort. The guard at that resort asked our name before letting us through but even though our names were not on the list, they let us enter. When we... more

My friends, my husband and I have visited Boca Chica for the first time three years ago. We loved the beach more then anything and the fact that you have an easy access from the main buidling. We went there two years in a row, last year we went to Mexico and realized how to vacation in style, although the... more

That said, it is a beautiful beach, eventually with the view to the West a bit spoiled by some industrial landscape. But it has all the ingredients of the... more

Hotel Zapata is a small (in comparison to the surrounding big hotels), family owned, personal and perfect place to stay in Boca Chica. I was so satisfied with my whole 10 day trip by the 2nd day. You feel like you're at home and in paradise. Our room had a kitchen and a balcony overlooking the beach. There's also a... more

I was recently in Boca Chica Dominican Republic and I had the most wonderful time. I had been there before and stayed at the Hamaca Coral. I met a guy who works there named David and this time we decided to stay off the resort. It was so much fun. The town is so friendly and it was so much... more

Myself and my family spent Dec 05/Jan 06 in Boca Chica, Dom. Republic. We stayed in Residencial El Candil in lovely, clean and well run apartments. The 2 owners Peterri & Guiseppe are most helpful and really make you feel welcome. Boca Chica is fun and lively by day but seedy by night. But my whole family have rated it as... more

In the day time Boca Chica can be a great place for families and children etc. I used to routinely let my novia's 6 year old swim ALL day only checking on him every hour or so. The water is VERY calm and clear and never deep. It is like a lagoon really. Lots of great bars and restaurants right... more
