This place really isn't much of a museum at all. It's really just a bunch of stalls with guys selling their stones. Don't expect to be going to a "museum". This place isn't in a good location of town and doesn't feel to safe walking around on the street outside of the place. more

We went to the Amber museum on part of a half day tour of Puerto Plata. The museum itself is basically one floor of different specimens of amber and blue amber with fossils in them.
