The Teleferico or Cable Car is not worth the money in my opinion. The view from up there is great but they could really make it alot more than what it is. There are nice gardens up there and walking are paths but they could be maintained and be so much better. There are pools that have been left for... More

The teleferico is an amazing feature in Puerto Plata. The cable car ride is spectacular and the views from the top of Isabel de Torres is breath taking. There are lovely trails on the top and areas that were once gardens and a fountain that are only remnants due to the lack of continued funding by the government. It's well... More

We went up on the cable car as part of a city tour. It is a definate must as it gives you great views of the whole of Puerto Plata. I would recommend going in the morning when there is usually less cloud so your views are clear. It is not like a traditional cable car where there is a... More

We booked with Sunwing and went on a city tour as well as the cable car ride up the mountain. This was an amazing experience. I for one am terrified of heights and I was actually able to look down without being scared. The people were all very friendly and the cable car was very safe. Views were unbelievable. We... More

Make sure you bring your camera, was a great trip up. We booked our excursion with sunning so we had a tour guide to take us, the teleferico was included with our POP city tour. The trip up was good however we went on a day where it was cloudy at the top but it was fun to do the... More

Enjoyed the visit to the cable car and seeing the sights from the top of the hill. $10 each for the cable car was reasonable and I think it's worth doing. Our visit was tainted by a 'tour guide' who attached himself to us and followed us around, occasionally offering small nuggets of information at random intervals. We thought this... More

This was my first Tram or cable ride. Wow, the cable ride towards the mountain was smooth and the view of Puerto Plata was breath taking. There were three of us touring Teleferico and the guide spoke in English and was very knowledgeable about the trees and surroundings. Of course in DR nothing is free. The guide wanted a tip... More

Spectacular views and beautiful plant species in the tropical gardens. There is also a rather large statue of Christ overlooking all. The ride on the cable car is eye opening and you can get great pictures of all over Puerto Plata. Good for a few hours strolling around and you can also get a drink and snack at the top... More
