We did the Monster Truck tour the day before we came home from Puerto Plata. The tour was just okay....not good and not terrible. Definitely not worth the almost $300 we paid for three of us. more

This is a good way to spend a full day away from your hotel. We got picked up at our hotel around 8:15...depends on your location though, and we got back around 5pm. The price was $90 USD per person. Since doing the Monster Truck Safari my husband has not stopped gushing about how much fun he had in the Dominican Republic! The monster truck safari is without doubt one of the best vacation excurisons you can get in Puerto Plata (departures from Playa Dorada, Cabarette & Sosua too). You get to ride for a whole day, aboard a huge 8-axle zebra-painted former millitary truck.
