On a recent cruise to Grenada, my research told me La Sagesse was the spot for us. We were not disappointed. This place is a tropical paradise and worth the money we spent on a taxi ($80 total). A wonderful start to our Grenadan holiday, with a warm welcome from Boney at the airport and a phone call to the restaurant to be prepared to serve us dinner upon our late arrival. La Sagesse is PARADISE! My husband and I stayed at La Sagesse prior to boarding the Yankee Clipper. Both of us wish we could have continued to stay here for the remainder of our trip. A giant Sperm Whale filled the louvered windows of our high-ceilinged room, separating the warm Atlantic from the sheltered cove that sent gentle waves to La Sagesse Beach. The whale is actually a finger of wind-swept land, the clay-colored bottom eroded by current, both air and water, the top half streaked with foliage forever slanted diagonally from the relentless easterlies.... more
