This was a stop on our tour and we were mainly there to see the Mona monkeys that come out to get fed by the tourists. We stopped by at their "time" to look at them around 2:30 pm and were not there to be seen. If you take a mini-walk up the hill you can look over to the... More

The day that we visited, there was mist around and hardly any of the lake could be viewed. The monkeys are said to be there around 10-11 in the morning and 2-3 in the afternoon. At other times, you can go there and not see any monkeys (as we found). Anyway, if you are on the road through the rain... More

It is a fabulous place to go hiking for the day but is disappointing as a brief stopping place. More

Our tour didn't allow us very long at the park - just enough time for the free punch, poke our heads into the museum, use the restroom and buy an overpriced chocolate bar. DO NOT purchase from the farthest vendor! She charged me $7 for the local chocolate bar and the woman closest to the parking area only charged my... More

We visited Grand Etang forest and lake as part of a larger tour. It was informative and interesting. It is interesting to see the interior of Grenada. More

We called in to look at crater lake while we were touring around the island. We went to the visitor centre and took in a view of the lake. It was much smaller than I had expected - and there wasn't much to look at. We did buy some spices from a really pleasant vendor and she gave us some... More

We visited the park in late October, 2011, and were disappointment to find the trail around the lake in a state of nearly-impassable neglect. It was completely overgrown, with 2” deep mud right from the trailhead leaving the parking area (wear good waterproof hiking shoes). Sawgrass overhangs the trail in many places, and it left our calves dripping blood from... More

We went here with Mandoo who is one of the best tour guides I've ever met. Mandoo has a favorite monkey called Loverboy who came out to greet us at the visitor's center. He walked around our group for a moment before disappearing back into the rain forest. He was looking for more food and stayed as long as someone... More

Beautiful crater lake - breathtaking view - but it'll take a little while to get there. You should hire a cab from a port and have him drive you around for 4 hours. This stop is well worth it - it's beautiful and you may see a monkey if you're lucky. Ask to buy some bananas from a vendor on... More
