While on a cruise recently, the first port was Labadee, Haiti and what a beautiful place. This is not a really big area, but lovely. Some nice beach areas, some a little rough with lots of shells. Water is wonderul. Pretty blue and nice and warm. And....there is a Zip Line across the bay. I did not do it, but... more

Just came home from RCCL Liberty of the Seas and stopped at Labadee. I guess if you do not travel much this place would seem "awsome", however, we felt duped. We were looking forward to a day at the beach, as we have been to some beautiful beaches around the world and on other cruises as well, but we just... more

We sailed on Jewel of the Seas in January 2009. We were a little concerned about the first stop as our "generic" travel books didn't mention anything about Labadee. As we are a little past the high-adventure stage in life, we thought we might just wander out about mid-day and look around a little. Then, the evening before we arrived... more

Our children and grandchildren were on Labadee in May, 2009; all 19 of us on a family holiday. We had children from age 2 to 17 and there was something for everyone. The ride on the tender from ship to shore was very pleasant and they came quite regularly so no waiting. Some of us did the zip line and... more

Experienced Labadee, Haiti this past March, 2009 while on an RC Cruise. After reading the reviews on trip advisor I was a little concerned about this stop. However, my husband and I loved it and enjoyed the laziness of the day. Yes there is construction going on, but there are many beaches to choose from and we "camped out" for... more

We just got back from our cruise on April 26th. Our last stop was Labadee. It was just what I expected. A day of leisure. We rented a mat and went to the ocean side, got a chair and chilled out. I did go to the market but did not know that the shopping was run by locals, and only... more

We did the Royal Caribbean Snorkle Safari excursion at Labadee, Haiti and enjoyed it very much. The captain and crew were informative, professional and friendly. The boat and equipment were clean. The water is clear and it was not cold (April). The coral is magnificent. There are not a lot of fish, but the coral more than makes up for... more

April 2009 Freedom of the Seas took us to Labadee. I have a 4 and 6 yr old and they had lots of fun. Plenty of chairs for everyone. I would suggest you sit near the water park rather than the other areas since the cruise line is still doing work on the island. No need to hear a machine... more

Was at Labadee April 2009 and loved it. Yes, there is some construction going on to improve the facilities there but still, it was beautiful and SAFE. At our stop in Samana, Dom. Rep. I thought we were going to die, it was terrible, stay away from Samana, a taxi guy took us to a dead end road where a... more

My wife and I have read many reviews regarding the beaches and resort of Labadee and wanted to throw in our own two cents. First off, don't worry about being the first ones off of the ship to get to this resort. Three to four hours is really all that you need to explore this entire peninsula and still have... more
