The road to Treasure Beach from Montego Bay was very windy, and quite narrow, but worth the journey. In Treasure Beach I stayed at a backpackers Inn called Sandy Hill Cottages. Nice, relaxed atmosphere, very inexpensive. I recommend the delightful breakfast, thatched roof, food outlet at the bottom of the driveway to Sandy Hill Cottages for breakfast! French toast -... more

Our group of friends have been to Negril many times, to Ochi, Port Maria and last year, (and again in 2 weeks), to Treasure Beach on the south coast. We like it because it is not as crazy and not nearly as populated with tourists as Negril. We rent a great villa with a pool, on the beach, have a... more

My husband and I stayed in Negril and decided to go over to Treasure Beach for the day. It took about 2 1/2 hours straight to get there, as opposed to 1 1/2 hours everyone kept telling us, FYI. We went to Jake's on the sea, which was a very cute and offbeat relaxing place. I was expecting a beach... more

Myself, my wife and daughter have just returned from Treasure Beach Jamaica on Monday. (Still got the tan to prove it), I would like anyone that is considering going to TB to look out for the "superior Garden Rooms" If you are a back-packer used to staying in hostels and tents, this would suite you fine. Make sure you get... more

I went to Treasure Beach for the first time last spring ... and have been back several times since! I fell instantly in love with Jamaica, but particularly with Treasure Beach. The quiet, easy-going, friendly atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. I've met many people in the community and feel like I've found a new home. The beaches are lovely... more

A group of 5 of us visited Treasure Beach in May 2005. It was one of the nicest and most relaxing vacations ever. We were met by Kevin at the airport and the fun began. During our 10 day stay everyone we met treated us like family. We ate nothing but Jamaican food, played cricket on the beach, flew kites... more

Just returned from Treasure Beach April 5, 2005. The family had a wonderful time. With nine of us in a villa, "The Bucaneer", we were furnished our own cook, housekeeper, tour director and local story teller. We made our own schedules. With family members ages from 12 to 71, it was a great escape and a precious time spent together.... more

Treasure Beach is certainly 'off the beaten track', but that's what makes it the gem that it is. The people and the place seem almost wholly unaffected by the commercialism that is abounding in Negril, MoBay and most of the rest of the North Coast of the island. I suppose you could cite Treasure Beach as an excellent example of... more

Wow, is this place awful. First off, the "hamlet" (and that's being generous) is in such a remote place you better leave a bread trail to find your way back to Earth. Second, at night, all you can hear is screams, from where, we couldn't tell. This is not a snap-shot from the movie "Calar's Heart". Even the jerk food... more

I loved the beaches, swam several times a day, ate sweet fruit and fresh fish and home style meals, enjoyed walking along the a coast line with the variety including sand, rock, meadow, cottages, and trees. And now that I am home, what I remember is the people. Another visitor said “they treat us like guests, not tourists”. Instead of... more
