Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting and informative tour of an authentic working coffee farm. The gentleman who spoke to our group obviously was an expert in his subject and patiently answered all questions. This is a good trip for people who want to experience something outside of the usual touristy attractions and see some Jamaican countryside.

We visited this small family run coffee farm while on a community tour. Mr. Black was very informative not only about coffee but also knowledgeable on various other plants locally grown. Recommend this tour to anyone.

We visited this coffee farm during a community tour. Mr Black is very knowledgeable and also showed us some native plants/herbs and their uses.

On a day when we had hired a car to see a bit of Jamaica, we headed through the mountains to see, among other things, a working coffee factory. One piece of advice: phone ahead, as the factory was stock-taking and cleaning up for the Easter break when we turned up. However, we were grateful to the owner/manager, John, who was kind enough to show us around anyway. It was very generous of him to do so. Do not expect a big industrial operation. This is a family business. The factory has one oven for roasting beans but nevertheless, it was fascinating to see the process in action. The factory has a shop where you can buy High Mountain Coffee and Blue Mountain coffee from a sister operation. One other piece of advice, where proper clothes; to do with food safety in the factory.
