We went to Nine Mile to visit the Bob Marley museum/mausoleum. It wasn't great. The most exciting part was the jeep ride up the mountain which was also scary at times. Little kids running behind jeep asking for money at several points during the ride. Brownies/tea sold at the museum are ridiculously priced. Tour itself is very short. We bought...

6 of us booked the Nine Mile Tour/Bob Marley Tour at our hotel through one of those private taxi services. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get there, through the windy, bumpy roads all through the mountains. If you get car sick - definitely take something before this ride.
The tour was really cool, our guides or Rastifarians were...

I love Bob Marley, but he's never been my FAVORITE artist. The ride through the countryside to his mountainside birth and resting place is AMAZING! I can't believe his family lived this life! I now finally understand him after experiencing his roots! His family (grandparents, stepbrother, mother and Bob Himself) are buried here. Such a primitive lifestyle in NineMile and...

My wife and I booked this tour from our resort, the Jewel Dunns River in Ocho Rios (great place to stay). Our tour was hosted by a genuine Rastifarian, Ras Shaka. I might add he was great. The ride from Ocho Rios to Nine Mile was about an hour and a half through the mountains on very narrow roads through...

A friend and I booked this as a last minute tour. Nine Mile is an experience in and of itself. The ride from Montego Bay into the mountains was very long and uneventful. Our tour guide on the bus really wasn't very talkative and quite boring.
Arriving at Nine Miles we were all taken to the "window' and encouraged to...
