Just went to the cave park two days ago. We didn't know until we arrived that due to a death in January, the main cave entrance was closed and that the tour no longer included entering the cave system. We took the tour anyway. It proved to be very interesting our guide was very good. We did get to see... more

We drove 2 hours to get there to find that the caves where closed until next year. We found out that part of the cave collapsed and killed a lady earlier this year. Anyway, we paid $3 to enter the cave park and about $5 in tolls just to be told that we could only see the sinkholes and not... more

The Caves were absolutely fascinating. We spent an outstanding hour+ and wished the tour could last longer. It was wonderful. The only disappointment we had was that we were the last tour of the day. We didn't have time to visit the gift shop before we headed down, and told the girl we would be back. When we returned she... more

A great place to visit, but I agree, the school kids will slam you. I went with my 11 year old. I speak spanish but ds does not. I called for the tour companies. My sense of direction is poor on a good day so that ride to the mountains was more stress than I needed. The tour was $80.... more

Is a great experience to go inside the Cave. Magnificent natural place, especially if you enter the Cave around 3:pm, when the sunrays cover the entrance in a special way. Check my picture... it looks heavenly. I've been visiting this place since I was a kid, and always love it. This time, the Tour guide inside the Cave (english tour)... more

I recently returned from a trip to Puerto Rico. I lead a group of 15 teens and 6 adults (including myself) to experience Puerto Rico and do service work in the Arecibo area. One of the things I really wanted to do was take the group to the caves. It was difficult to get information about them. When we called... more

This is more a word of advice/warning; my wife and I planned a trip to the caves in our rental car. We called ahead the day we wanted to go, but there was no answer on either of the numbers we had. We called all morning and nobody bothered to pick up the phone. I called a few tour agencies... more

I felt that my visit was a two star visit to a five star attraction. The caves were MAGNIFICENT as in they are a MUST SEE. Trust me, if you are in PR and can get here, do it. The surrounding countryside is BEAUTIFUL. So you must be wondering, why only two stars. If I had to rate the park... more

A fantastic investment of time, wonderfully guided, convenient, and less than 90 minutes drive from San Juan. Tourist tip - take 22 instead of 2, it's a much better drive and the outlet malls at Barceloneta are a treat. Tourist trap - Do NOT eat at El Taino, which is heavily marketed on all roads to the caverns or the... more
