I never tire of having a quiet moment here to reflect and just enjoy the peacefulness. I'm not Catholic, but when mass is held it's really soothing to listen. And sometimes I can follow along with the hymns. I also enjoy looking at the paintings, statues and relics. I had to read the plaque twice, but it's true! Ponce de... More

It was right across from our hotel, so we walked around. Didn't spend more than 10 minutes here. More

We enjoyed a visit to the San Juan Cathedral. I loved its interior scale and architecture and was lucky enough to be there for a wedding, which brought it all to a very personal level. Fine acoustics in the cathedral, beautiful frescos and side chapels...well worth a visit! More

Fully accessible cathedral and one of if not the oldest in the Americas. Absolutely worth seeing. It is packed on Sunday or at least on Mothers day when we were there. More

Small and unassuming for a cathedral that is the oldest in the Americas. More

It is a beautiful old cathedral, but is in need of some repairs. The staff was getting ready for the funeral of the cardinal that had passed away. From what we could tell, it looked like there were some repairs being done. The priest came out and invited us to the funeral mass and was very friendly. More

Some how you feel he must have found the fountain of youth. The Cathedral is a special place and a treat to tour. More

Apparently, he did not find the fountain of youth. Maybe because Barrachina hadn't invented the Pina Colada. The cathedral is not as imposing as some of the others we visited on this trip. More

The Cathedral dates back to 1521. It is one of the oldest buildings in Puerto Rico and the second oldest cathedral in the Western Hemisphere. It is quite unremarkable on the exterior. More
