No fee required. Check in at the office and they give you a great map to follow to tour the grounds. The lady stressed that it was not a botanical garden but it felt like one. Very cool plants and trees. Worth the stop.

The research station is a treasure and I had no idea it existed. After stopping by the university for a meeting I went to the zoo and literally stumbled on it! I learned a lot about what has been done in the area and what is planned for the future.
