If you want a true puerto rico experience, go to El Yunque. BEAUTIFUL rainforest. Hike the "Big Trees trail" for about 30-40 minutes to get to a river and a very nice waterfall. True eco experience. Hike is pretty hard for the average office american, who is very inactive. But very DO-ABLE... piece of cake for more active people. There... more

I've been to the rainforest on Oahu, Hawaii, and I've been to El Yunque, and El Yunque is by far way better. Make sure when you do go, you give yourself a full day. There are a lot of trails going from below La Mina falls all the way up to the peak. Mt Britton offers an excellent view. If... more
