One of only 2 town/cities in Vieques.. if you're looking for a more cheaper place to get grub, look no further than Isabel II. The locals all work here during the day then disappear to Esperanza at night. The panaderia (bakery) has greatly priced baked goods and sandwiches. They also speak English but be sure and ask first (may offend... More

La Viequense ( Bakery) opens early and closes around 3/4 pm ; good place for breakfast ,pastries and light lunches and good... More

Very laid back, yet lots of places to explore. MUCH nicer than Esperanza, which, for me, is too busy and too touristy. More

We took a load of tree rubbish to the Santa Maria dump. I would say it has one of the best views on the island and the wind was wonderful. They keep the area covered up and seem to do a good job. More

Maybe it was because we stayed in a guesthouse in the middle of the city and were woken up every single night at 3am by either people partying outside the window, dogs barking or roosters crowing - but we definitely liked Esperanza better. Isabel is definitely more of an authentic Puerto Rican experience, where most locals just go about their... More

The local chamber of commerce has some work to do. Spend some money on the town and paint some of the building. Not all look like they're about to collapse, but many do. And you could invest a few bucks on the ferry landing area - it's the first view many get of your beautiful island and I'm sure many... More
