So the rumor from everyone is that green beach has great snorkeling. Only true if you know where to look, since the beach stretches for a good long while and other visitors will more than likely push the wildlife away from the shoreline. Just ask any local to give you pointers... More

Rotten rotten roads. Is this from the so-called 2009 sucky stimulus (we saw a big green sign in Isabell II)? Either way - upon what we thought was arrival - we were attacked by sand flies. We were not even sure if we had reached Green Beach or Punta Arenas. With no other visitors to gauge direction, we hightailed it... More

We headed out to Green Beach at the far end of Vieques in our Jeep. Here the Atlantic and Caribbean meet to form lots of different blues and greens in water with the main island of Puerto Rico as a backdrop. The beach was pleasant with slighly more rocky sand. We had a good portion of it to ourselves. The... More

If you like to snorkel without paying for an expensive tour this beach is for you. We snorkeled above some amazing coral, you will want to park at the last stop off. And about 10 feet from shore is some great brain and fan coral. For me this is not a beach to lounge on. The sand fleas are pretty... More

Saw a spotted eagle ray here. Easy snorkeling right off the beach for kids and adults. One shaded canopy available. No facilities. Long, rough road to get there. Gorgeous. More

Green Beach is one of the more isolated beaches on Vieques, located at the westernmost point on the island. The beach is a bit rockier than some of the beaches on the Caribbean side of the island, but it does have a nice edge of lovely white sand. When we arrived, we were the only people there. A family arrived... More
