Your taxi driver might know this place better as Musée de la Canne, but if you say you want to go to the sugar cane museum, they'll get you there. The museum is about 5 km from the tourist area of Trois Ilets and, if you take a taxi to get there, be prepared to pay your cab driver to... more

Through photographs and documents the role of sugar cane in the development of the island is documented. It could have been named the Museum of Slavery. Issues of prior colonialism and slavery in Martinique and Guadeloupe have not be resolved . more
