We were there in April 2008. Wonderful beach. You can also snorkel. There was a fair amount of people on the beach - probably anbout 15 people or so. One couple was naked so we followed suit. Don't take teh path through Columbier. Way too steep and treacherous. Take the other way. more

After a steep 30 min downhill hike you will find one of the planets finest beaches at colombier. Totally undeveloped, no signs of civilization and calm translucent warm water. My wife and I hiked down it early on a Sat morning , took off our clothes and frolicked au natural for a few hours..there was no one on the entire... more

Columbier is accessible only by boat or by one of two hiking trails. The easiest one, which we took, begins at the end of the road that goes by Flamands beach -- park by the side of the narrow road with the other cars. Spent an afternoon at Colombier Beach because it was recommended as a good place to snorkel. It is a fun field trip driving over to where the roads end on the western tip of St. Barts. We took the higher trail, which starts at a nice overlook that maps out where all the offshore islands are on the north side... more
