Canaries is a quite peaceful village on the outskirts of St.lucia . I enjoyed my time there the people our very welcoming to visitors to there small village. while I was there I experienced a thing called Creole pot and local music and entertainment the foods are home grown and taste wonderful. This was one of the stops on this 7 hr tour. This fishing village is just a street full of poor street vendors who wait for the tour buses to stop. The town is very depressed and clearly counts on tourism more than fishing. We only spent 5-10 min there, and that was more than we needed! Nov. 2007 more
