After the hustle and bustle of Castries, Rodney Bay, etc., Marigot Bay is the perfect antidote. Heck, you have to take a boat across the bay (a delightful, 4-minute shuttle) to get to the beach, and 2 of the best restaurants - Doolittle's and Rainforest Hideaway. We visited St. Lucia from Nov.1-8th, 2001. It took one day for me to fall totally and utterly in love with the place. The entire island is beautiful, exciting, and friendly. Marigot Bay in particular seemed to be a quiet, friendly and extremely lovely place to stay. My alarm clock was a cow singing "Moooo" in the morning. The people... more
