This was a beautiful beach set between the two Pitons. If you are staying at Jalousie, I'm sure it's great--we saw nice beach accommodations (chairs, huts, etc.) However, coming from Ladera Resort up the hill, we were treated like 2nd class citizens, and secluded to a small area with crappy chairs, no shade, and in an area where we were...

Beach facilities were mostly limited to paying resident guests, so not friendly to day trippers, who have to cram into a small area. Water was murky. Not so many fish or much coral of interest.

On our recent cruise, one of our ports of call was St. Lucia. It was our first time there, so we definitely wanted to see the magnificent Pitons. As such, I booked the Spencer Ambrose Tours – Jalousie Beach Break for my family of five (children ages 3, 7 and 11). Essentially, it was a 3 to 4 hour stay...

We wanted to take a look at the beach while in the area so we drove along to the gatehouse of Jalouisie Resort and asked if we could make our way to the beach. The guard was very obliging and we were able to park in the guest car park. From here you take a walk down a steep winding...

How are you supposed to relax on a tropical vacation when the obnoxious resort staff is constantly hounding you along with the locals too? The staff is relentless, you can't even ask where the restroom is or try to get a lunch menu at the restaurant without them interrogating you. Here's a newsflash, this resort and beach is not that...

We were in St Lucia on a cruise. We snorkelled with a ship tour that took us to Jalousie. It was a great snorkel.
We spent so much time in the water that we did not have much time to sit on the beach. There is a public side to the beach that has chairs to sit on. There is...

I visited this location through the Cosol Tours (highly recommended) while visiting on the Carnival Victory (Horrible Ship) . This has to be one of the coolest beach's I have ever visited right in between the Pitons. It is visually stunning. As my Canadian friend says below ignore the hotel security the beachs in St. Lucia are PUBLIC! That resort...

The view is very picturesque but if you aren't staying on the resort you cannot make your way down to the nice end of the beach. This means there are a number of tourists cramped into a small section of beach. The snorkelling is good but bring your water shoes - it is very rocky. Note: the white sand is...

What a beautiful beach. We walked along both parts of the beach and had no problems at all. We didn't try to get into the resort, but with a beach like that we wanted to spend every single second on it, not IN the resort.
We were on a tour with Cosol Tours and only had about an hour and...
