i ha the opportunity to be part of this entertaining party and it was great. lots of diversity and the music was great as well and the drinks cheaper.

This is a must see to experience the Lucian culture. Arrive early around 8 and leave early around 10 or 11pm if you don't like to be overwhelmed by crowds. Great music, good food, good souvenirs (vendors are willing to negotiate and are friendly) Use caution and there are several shady characters in the crowd. We were approached several times...

The street party is certainly buzzing. Probably better with a group of friends than just a couple, and can say the street food is very good and well worth trying.

5 couples went to the street party in Gros Islet .. we're all forty-somethings. Great food, beer and spiced rum. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
