volcano was very interesting, but very smelly. guide was knowledgeable, and charismatic. watch out for the peddlers after the tour. more

Kind of tame compared to Yellowstone, but interesting. Our guide, Selena, was excellent. Prepare to smell like rotten eggs! Selena complained that she and her fellow guides have to hang out because no one else can stand the smell. The most interesting aspect of this attraction was Gabriel's Hole, the only manmade outgassing. A guide named Gabriel was jumping on... more

We had a really nice guide who explained all about the volcano. But really it is a sulpher spring, not what one would think of is a "drive-in volcano" like the signs say. But the best part of this is when you walk back from the springs take a right after you get over the bridge. There's a mineral bath....and... more

The Sulphur Springs is billed as the "World's Only Drive-In Volcano." There is only a little bit to see here. There are the bubbling, steaming pools which represent the "volcano."
