This is a necessary evil to get you to Tortola or Virgin Gorda. It's sometimes hot, sometimes cold... sometimes it's rought seas. That's just the nature of the beast. Ha! But it's all worth it! More

This ferry does what it should. It gets you there. Be warned if you are trying to make a flight- take a ferry at least 4 hours before your flight; they work on Island time. More

We travelled with Smith's Ferry to Road Town. The service was very fast and the crew were very accommodating even running to a restaurant to get beer when they ran out. Watch out for the guys on the dock in Road Town they tend to be a little aggressive looking for tips from everyone in the group even after they... More

March 31 - We arrive at Charlotte Amalie by air, walked out to the curb caught a $10.00 per person (standard rate) cab to the ferry terminal. At the ferry terminal the next ferry was leaving in 10 minutes - DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE - this gives you the option of getting the next available ferry. The... More

We took a day trip to VG on Smith's Ferry. The ticket included cab fare to and from the Bath's. It was very convenient, and reasonably priced. More

On February visit to Tortola, we bought round-trip tickets on Smith's Ferry from Charlotte Amalie to West End Tortola. We selected Smiths because the return schedule suited our flight plans. The trip to Tortola was late leaving. The vessel was a huge disappointment, not a real ferry but sort of a converted tugboat. Waves splashed up on the rear deck;... More

Prepaid for round-trip transfers and direct ferry transport from Charlotte Amalie to Road Town. In actuality, I was taken to West End and the return trip I spent over 2 hrs on the ferry. Fast ferry? I almost missed my flight. More
