This is really a fun 1/2 day trip. There is a very informative and professional audio/visual presentation in a very cool indoor theater. Then stroll outside and see what it was like to live on the island before the days of the modern cruise ship. More

Our tour had this scheduled to stop and see. I found it educational and with good history behind the Cayman Islands. The little theater inside is sort of built out of rock and has a set that includes a replica of part of the house, and the stone piece where a historical figure was said to have died at the... More

The orientation movie is shown in a really innovative theatre. I enjoyed seeing how they set the tone. The structure itself was interesting. The mahogany wood was beautiful and local to the island. The gift shop was great and had reasonably priced tagua nut and Caymanite jewelry. It was a big hit on the tour. More

The main old building is very interesting to see and the gardens are pleasant for walking around. Make a point of looking at the old kitchen where the servants did the meals. More

This was a really good trip - the story of the historic site (and the rebuilt house) was told to us by two descendants of the original owners and we felt really priviliged to be able to learn history in this way! More

The house itself is rather beautiful with its breezy wooden verandahs and restored interiors; there are the usual small info boards around the house with some background on life (especially for slaves) in the house. For me the most fascinating part though was a retrospective, set out on large information boards in a room near the entrance, of Cayman in... More
