lots of nice swim throughs, Huge Tarpon hanging out in the grotto´s a must dive when in GC More

Right off the shores, probably about 1/2 mile up from Don Foster's Dive shop is a spot called Devil's Grotto. It is filled with maze-like reefs and swim-throughs (be very careful in a few of them!!! You can either get stuck and turn around or the passages are narrow and you have to be careful your 2nd stage does not... More

Devil's Grotto is a very cool place to do some shallow swim throughs (around 40ft deep) and things of that nature. A WORD OF WARNING, if you rent gear from Eden Rock Dive Center, they try and overcharge for everything, and will accuse you of tearing up their stuff. Devil's Grotto is an amazing, INEXPENSIVE snorkeling spot. We saw many amazing fish, including a gar and a stingray. There are some LARGE fish here, which was intimidating at first, but they are not aggressive or dangerous. It is located about 3 minutes (walking) from the cruise pier.
