The second port we visited on our cruise was Georgetown. We did not use the ship's excursion desk, we rarely do. When you leave the terminal, there are numerous vendors holding up signs offering site seeing trips with posted prices and destinations. We ended up with two other couples and toured the Island. We all liked the Turtle farm and... more

I would recommend a fishing or Stingray City charter with Captain Dwight and his crew aboard his classic 31 foot Bertram Sportfisher, "Reel Esea". Captain Dwight was knowlegeable and polite and provided a very informative tour of the water around Grand Cayman Island. His rates were reasonable and he provided transportation to and from Morgan's Harbor. I hope to visit... more

We stopped at Georgetown, Grand Cayman as one of our ports of calls on a recent cruise. I have to admit originally it wasn't one of the ports I was excited about so I didn't really expect much...what a fantastic surprise! It turned out to be my favorite port! We had booked a shore excursion through "Nautilus:The Undersea Tours" which... more

When coming off of a cruiseline as we did, Georgetown did not offer much at the port, now grant it we did not have enough time to explore the cayman, the waters were very beautiful, but the port area was sort of int he ghetto, nd we could not stray far. Overall not much was done, but the site is... more

We went to The Grand Caymen Islands on a cruise as one of the ports of calls. It was beautiful! We could see the entire width of the island from the ship. Friendly people, delicious food. We will return. more

I have now been to Georgetown, Grand Cayman twice. Not my favorite port, but definitly worth visiting. Seven Mile Beach was gorgeous of course and we had a lot of fun! Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville was exciting, but the food, not so much. Stick with their expensive margaritas. Hard Rock Cafe burgers were bad. Grand Cayman is an expensive place to... more

We took a Royal Caribbean cruise to Georgetown Grand Caymen. The Island is still a bit tatered 5/2005 but the stingrays are plentiful. We decided to try Moby dick tours instead of booking thru the cruise line, we booked online before we got to the island, but there was a few spots left when we got on land. The tour... more
