First and foremost this is a great place to visit while on the island. As of August of ’08 they are in the middle of some renovation for adding a dolphin area, but it is across the road and butted up against the ocean. This is actually where the original “Turtle Farm” was located before Ivan. It is now called... more
My husband and I were delighted to see the turtle farm! We even got to hold a baby turtle while there and feed them. Be careful though, and don't drop a baby, or it's a fine of $1000! Really! They have a very old sea turtle there that I believe was over 60 years old. Very educational place to take... more
Is it safe to eat turtle meat because of this Turtle Farm. Otherwise, because turtles live so long they are loaded with mercury and really should NOT be eaten if caught in the wild. Very interesting place to visit and not just for kids. more

Go for the blue wristband and enjoy a full day here. The walk-in aviary is beautiful - wait till those scarlet ibises eat out of your hand! Lots... more

When you arrive all around you in the lobby and gift shop you can smell the fresh money. It's beautiful. You think, 'oh this is going to... more
Skip the higher priced tour (unless this will be the only way to snorkel with young children). Our kids loved seeing and holding the turtles up close and feeding them. We joked everytime we saw a mansion on the Island that they must own the turtle farm. It was clean and the kids loved it. more
THE TURTLE FARM . A new home is now open for the Boatswains Beach Turtle farm. Pop for the full tour, though pricey it can occupy the entire day. At the beginning of the tour is the turtle farm and breeding program. A well -versed guide will lead you thorough the maze of tanks housing various ages of green sea... more
We went with our three daughters (10, 7, 3) in April 2007 and it was a wonderful experience. We did the snorkeling in the fresh water pool and were able to see the sharks through the glass tank. The breeding tanks was great to see and trying to hold the little turtles was great. It was very clean and great... more
