The Brimstone Hill Fortress is breathtaking. It has awesome views, and its buildings are very well renovated. You'll also find some small, but interesting musuem exhibits. The most amazing place and should not be left out of any visit to St Kitts. Incredible views. The fortress is in such a superb condition that it is very easy to picture it as a working fort hundreds of years ago. You can almost hear the sounds. Easily comparable with the Colisseum in Rome or Ephesus in Turkey. more

Brimstone Hill Fortess, is a restored English fortress about a 45 minute drive from Basseterre. for history buffs this is a no miss. The views are breathtaking and the fortress itself is in remarkable shape. Get there early if the tour ships are in an you can have the place to yourself. (opens at 9am). more
