Although it is patrolled by armed guards and you do have to pay £1.80 to enter the beach and the facilities, it is worth it for the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful beaches with shallow, clear water. Please don't visit Pigeon Point. It is an appalling situation. A private company (Ansa McAl) bought the land but the government is currently negotiating to buy it back. Pigeon Point is a great beach to visit if you are in Tobago. It is inexpensive to enter, and has the variety of a few beach bars and the tranquility of a deserted white sandy beach.
