If you are at Beaches take the 5 minute walk down the beach for some of the best snorkeling right off the beach.
Clear water! Calm waters today as well, thank God no strong currents. Very hot so find yourself a shady spot to sit. When facing the ocean stay to the right side of Coral Gardens Resort. This is a public beach, and to the left of Coral Gardens Resort under tress there are young locals smoking & drinking. The reef is... More
This spot is spectacular for easy, shore access snorkeling. The reef is roped off so that you don't kick or touch any of the coral and damage it. There is so much to see here. Staying at coral gardens or windsong provides super easy access to this attraction.
My hubby and I visited Provo earlier this month. Our vacation can be summed up in 4 words: EAT SNORKEL SLEEP REPEAT! Yes, we did a lot of swimming and snorkeling...with water like that, how can you stay out? We stayed at Ocean Club West (I have a separate review on that) and had a cab driver bring us over... More
We took our own snorkel gear to check out this reef. It was pretty wavy and choppy so it was somewhat hard to see but we saw a lot of amazing fish and coral. It was a great place to snorkel and a nice beach area.
Take the time to park outside of Coral Gardens and walk down the path or stay at the resort, either way we found this reef to be the best on the island that was accessible from shore!! Such a wonderful variety and be sure to circle all the way around the markers and go out past them to the far... More
I didn't think I would enjoy snorkeling on this beach as much as I did! You can snorkel and see lots of fish, lobsters, and reef life just 5 feet from the beach. I kept dragging my husband back here. There are little ghost crabs on the beach too. If you hold still long enough, they will come out. When... More
Been coming here over 10 years and we own near the reef. Good spot to see turtles, rays, rare shark and typical reef fish. Bit over used with beaches folks coming down but easy in and out. Mornings are best time to see turtles and rays. Cooler months seem to have best luck (dec to February)
This neat little gem was right on the beach, we literally waded out about 25yds. and began following the trail marked with buoys. It's free and all you need is your own snorkel gear.
this is as convenient as it gets. stay on the beach with the family just put your snorkeling stuff (rentable on the beach) on and off you are. I am a scuba diver and have dived in many places. Apart of the really big fish you see almost anything. Of course the little tropical fish but I also saw a... More
