We visited Tortola in April on a cruise holiday and asked in Port for a quieter beach location. The tour/taxi driver took a group of us across the island for a resonable fare and stayed at the beach until our return which was very reassuring. near the airport, water was very nice, quiet beach, a place where the locals hang out. No lifeguard when we were there. More

Brewer's is a beautiful beach on the west side of the University of the Virgin Islands just past the airport. It's pretty quiet throughout the week and nice n' social on Sundays. If you are looking for a totally uncrowded beach during the week, this is the one. Soft clean sand, turquoise waters and safe swimming. Not for snorkelling. Sundays is busy with the locals. More

My husband and I went to Brewer's Bay for the first time a week ago and loved it. Just a few locals swimming and walking the beach. Felt very relaxed and safe.
