We visited Tortola in April on a cruise holiday and asked in Port for a quieter beach location. near the airport, water was very nice, quiet beach, a place where the locals hang out. No lifeguard when we were there.

Brewer's is a beautiful beach on the west side of the University of the Virgin Islands just past the airport. It's pretty quiet throughout the week and nice n' social on Sundays. It's pretty much a local beach, not a lot of tourists, which is really nice for days when you want to avoid crowds. My favorite thing about this...

If you are looking for a totally uncrowded beach during the week, this is the one. Soft clean sand, turquoise waters and safe swimming. Not for snorkelling. Sundays is busy with the locals.

My husband and I went to Brewer's Bay for the first time a week ago and loved it. Just a few locals swimming and walking the beach. Felt very relaxed and safe.
