What a unique and amazing opportunity! We saw 3 sharks, 2 sea-turtles, several stingrays, and schools of fish....and the coral was amazing! Since the sub descends 90 feet, it is a unique experience...although of course, Atlantis Company can't control which fish happen to be swimming past!! This was a great way to spend a few hours in St. Thomas! The sub submerged to 80+ feet, and the visibilty is fantastic! We saw sharks, turtles, eels, tons of colorful fish... it was like snorkeling and/or scuba, without all of the work! For the price, this is a great attraction. It's a small 65' sub that seats 48 and two crew members. Plenty of portholes for everyone to see. I expected better. We went on June 6 2008. We only saw a few variety of fish & coral. It was interesting for the first 10 minutes underwater. No sharks, lobsters,string rays or any other life. I reluctantly went on the sub ride. I thought I would only see the same things I had been seeing snorkeling. I was wrong. I enjoyed the submarine with my 2 sons aged 6 & 9. The employees were above average for St. Thomas - very friendly and humourous. They let the kids "drive" the ferry back, which they loved.
