Taken as part of a tour, and with the other historic buildings and sites in the area, Blackbeard's Castle is one of the better attractions on St Thomas. The view of the area is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The castle is part of a group of historic sites and hotels, and if you are a history... More

This was the first stop on our Carnival cruise and we decided to visit Blackbeard's Castle...and it was great! Beautiful property, lots of awesome vistas and the rum tasting was yummy! Bought 4 bottles!! Really enjoyed this excursion! Our cabbie's name was Trini and was awesome!! Took us to the castle and then came back for us when we were... More

This is a fascinating walking tour of colonial St. Thomas which includes refurbished houses dating from the early-mid 1800's. The gardens are beautiful and docents very well informed about the history of each site. The Disney like robotic dinosaur in the Amber Museum didn't really fit with the rest of the tour but would be a great kid pleaser. More

Obviously the free samples of six different kinds of rum is at the top of the "likes" list, but to go along with that is the staff and the view. Everyone was very friendly, however I'm not sure exactly how much of the history we were given was correct. It was still an entertaining day that I would recommend to... More

Blackbeard's Castle was a nice stop during our day in St. Thomas. We were pressed for time and only spent 1 hr there, which was not long enough. The history about Blackbeard was very interesting as was the Rum Factory. We wish we had brought our bathing suits with us; the pool was very inviting. More

The castle is is small tower. The view was nice from the top. Would have liked more history. Very clean and pretty with large statues of pirates. Liked the Amber waterfalls. More
