I recommend this walk/excursion. Well maintained. If you have hard time walking or using stairs this will be hard for you. Many guides along way to explain historical facts. Beautiful views of bay and cruise ships. A must
Loved this. It was a beautiful walk with a neat art gallery and it lead you to an amazing view where I got fantastic shots of saint Thomas. Worth it! The bar up top is good too :)
The steps are a pretty cool historical spot, made with a concoction of brick and other materials that has survived the years. You get the old world feel and some pretty great photo spots. Right off the steps are Blackbeards Castle and historical homes with immaculate gardens and views.
what a nice way to see the historic district! confused as to why all the attractions and restaurants would be closed on saturdays and sundays - we heard they open only for the disgorging of cruise ships.... VERY WORTH EVERY STEP!

The steps are pretty cool because you get to see a part of the island's history. It doesn't take very London and leads you to Blackbeards castle.

If you drive down the Main Street (street parallel to Veterans Drive that runs along the waterfront) you will see a light yellow post office and it's behind that and...

Pleasant but steep stairs through historic attractions take visitors to unparallelled views from Blackbeard's Castle.
It was a good and fun way to get yourself walking and exercising. But beware the of looking at the view and not at the stairs as you climb up. Nice climb but if you are not used to it pace yourself. It sounds longer than it is. It has a great view at the top.
