The water is warm and so still, it's like a big bathtub; perfect for lounging and lazing. We spent two hours at Magen's Bay when our cruise ship stopped at St. Thomas. It's the most average-looking beach, with a huge crowd. I don't understand how it made its way to National Geographic's top 10 list. Some of the beaches I have been to in Hawaii and California are far better. more

The water is blue and warm the sand is white and soft. The beach has food, drinks, a gift shop, rentals for chairs towels snorkel and water floats. If you take a taxi leaving the beach the drives really go the extra mile to earn a good tip. They stop at several look out points that are excellent photo opps.... more
