There are no crowds. It is much more relaxed. Locals are much friendly than in Cruz. There are a few food markets, great places to eat, and a couple of great snorkel spots and trails. Also, is only about a 10-15min ride to all the famous St. John beaches without the traffic. Musts To Do in Coral Bay: Shipwreck Landing,... More

Coral Bay doesn't look like much but there are some cool places. We are at Sylvia's Clean Plate next to Donkey Diner, bought fresh fish from Benjie, had a drink at Miss Lucy's. All these places look rather sad from outside but don't be dissuaded. More

This is very pretty to drive into. I had my own car, which was nice for quick stops (like to photograph the goats that were relaxing in the road). A few good restaurants out here so take the time to visit if just to grab a snack and head back to Cruz Bay. More

I am glad we made the trip from Cruz Bay but be warned there is not a whole lot to see in Coral Bay although we missed a turn and ended up driving out onto the East End which has spectacular views of Tortola. There was good food in Coral Bay but little or no shopping and no beach. It... More

Make sure to venture over to the more quiet side of STJ. It's a bit less touristy and a lot more local. Have the best breakfast on the island at Donkey Diner, head over to Miss Vie's for a lunch of garlic chicken and johnny cakes, hang out at Miss Vie's private beach, and head back to Coral Bay for... This is the area where ya want to go. Just as close to the beaches as Cruz bay, but way laid back. Great restaurants (Aqua Bistro, Shipwreck) and great food shacks (skinny legs)-great music at night-often you'll see Larry running from bar to bar to blow some great harp. No ferry noise in the morning, but maybe some rowdy goats!... More

Skinny Legs, Aqua Bistro, Miss Lucy's and Donkey Diner are some of the best restaurants on the Island. This side of the Island has great beaches and moves at a slower pace than Cruz Bay! More

If you don't have time to make it over to coral bay, don't stress. We took the drive, had lunch and then went over to drunk bay. Other than that, not much to do/see... More
