We usually travel there in mid March. - bare sites are great with pretty good privacy - cold showers under the stars - group sites can be roudy with the young ones - beach clears out by 4:00 PM and is pretty empty till 10:30 AM - can have some rough waves (2 / 5 years we have been) We... more

We've spent a fair amount of time on this beach and love it. When staying here it's incredible to have this beach only steps from where you lay your head for the night. And it's amazing how few people hang out on the beach, like we have, from 8 -11pm just talking, listening to music and sipping drinks. During the... more

Cinnamon Bay on St. John in the Virgin Islands is a majestic beach with many on-site services and amenities. Kayaks, surfboards, sailboats, boogie boards, and windsurf boards are available for those who want to rent them. My wife rented a windsurf board from the on-site outfitter in January of 2005. She took a lesson and didn’t learn much, considering that... more

The beaches here were the most gorgeous I've seen on the island. The wide stretches of sand made for great beach fun. the snorkeling was pretty good, but further out. more

Cinnamon Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and the added amenities of bathrooms, showers, small grocery store and restaurant is a great added value. Also, the beautiful estate ruins are right across the street, and then right behind the ruins is a nice, easy trail that takes less than an hour and has little signs... more

Cinnamon Bay offers a fairly sizeable sandy beach, the trademarks clear, crystalline aqua waters, and Saint John's trademark fine snorkeling. With more options in terms of concessions and facilities than the vast majority of St. John beaches, Cinnamon Bay offers a lot of options (equipment and gear rental, wind surfing area) over and above the excellent snoreling. While the wifey... more

Looking for an idyllic beach in the USVI? Hard to beat the west end of Cinnamon Bay/Little Cinnamon. You can get there easily by boat if you're not renting one of the ridiculously posh villas in the Peter Bay section. You can also walk over from Cinnamon Bay easily enough. Crystal clear water, pure white sand and hardly a soul... more

If you get out on a boat, you have a great view of that whole watershed above, including the exclusive residential area of Katherineberg, high on the hills above. more

Rented a small Hobie Cat sailboat at the watersport concession at Cinnamon Bay for my teenage boys. The guy (long, blonde hair) who sold us the rental took the time to show my kids how to sail the boat and right it after capsizing it on purpose. He took a good 20 minutes with them and though my kids have... more
