... but I didn't let that stop me! My friends and I stayed on site (Paradise Cove Villas) and took full advantage of the activities. We rented a 3 person kayak and went out to the reef. The water was so shallow in most places we could see what we thought were conch shells scurrying across the sea floor. We... more

We normally book our travel excursions when we cruise through the cruise lines. However, this time we decided to book a trip ourselves and I am very glad to say that this was by far one of the best excursions we have ever done. The snorkeling is outstanding and the facilities and personnel are excellent. I don't think anyone could... more

My husband and I just got back from our cruise to the Bahamas, and it rained 1/2 a day every day which really sucked!! So that meant all of our booked excursions got canceled. Just by a fluke we happened along “Dead man's Reef” also featuring the "Red Bar". We were pleasantly surprised, with the snorkeling the reef had to... more

Deadman's Reef or Paradise Cove is the best thing going on this island. Went there twice, both times it was great. Very good snorkeling, especially if you go on the outside of the reef, which is easily done. Try to do it at high tide. Smithy, the owner, and the other staff are very helpful, friendly & professional. They are... more

This place is amazing. The rocks form a perfect calm area for not so experienced snorkelers. Life abounds in all areas, like the seagrass beds have huge sand dollars grazing through them, and there's enough coral for huge amounts of parrot fish, plus it's deep enough for spotted-eagle rays! The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable, and Nice! The food was... more

My Husband and I held our Rehersal Dinner at this location, Paradise Cove. THe Owner was a pleaseure to work with from the start. Considering the entire location was wiped away in the Hurricane of 1995, it is amazing. They have rebuilt the buildings and it is the perfect place to watch the sunset. My uncle and cousin also went... more

After reading the reviews on here we called directly to book. You can get 10% off if you have a coupon from the things to do booklet that all hotels have. We were picked up by a coach at 9.15 and were at Deadman Reef by 10, our hotel is the most remote in the pick up line and the... more

We got there early in the moring as our first stop on the Island. There was only a few people on the beach at that time so it was very quiet. The sign wasn't so obvious so you will have to make sure you don't miss it. We parked our car and paid for the snorkel rental, were given brief... more

Deadman’s Reef is a group of rocks just off the southern beach known as “Paradise Cove”, about 20 miles west of Freeport. My wife and I went to GBI over Memorial Day weekend and we spent about 5 hours at Paradise Cove. First, Paradise Cove/Deadman’s Reef is basically a privately owned beach. While the reef and snorkeling is open to... more
